The Minister of Gender, Children and Social Welfare, Cidalia Chauque, on 11 June in Maputo launched a National Plan of Action on Women, Peace and Security, for the 2018-2022 period, intended to strengthen the government’s actions in promoting human rights and gender equality.

Toll gates for Beira - Zimbabwe highway
 
The Mozambican government on 5 June authorised the country’s Road Fund to set up three toll gates along the Beira-Zimbabwe highway, which crosses the central provinces of Sofala and Manica.
