   Chinese gift to Mozambique armed forces
 
 

The Mozambican and Chinese authorities signed on Tuesday, in Beijing a protocol of military assistance for the Mozambique Armed Forces (FADM) worth 20 million Chinese yuan (about $3 million) for the year 2011.

The Aujan Group of Saudi Arabia plans to invest $100 million in Santa Carolina island, in the Bazaruto Archipelago, in the southern Mozambican province of Inhambane, according to the group’s chairperson, Adel Aujan.

Moatize – Macuse project to begin in late 2018
 
The Mozambican Ministry of Transport and Communications announced in Maputo on 1 September that the construction of a new railway from the western province of Tete to Macuse, on the coast of Zambezia province, should begin in late 2018, and be concluded in the first quarter of 2021.
